Manchester United star Ander Herrera has reportedly left the club to join PSG simply because of the higher wages they could offer.

The Spaniard has been one of the club’s better signings since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement but it has been confirmed he’s set to leave when his contract expires this summer.

It’s believed his next side will be the Ligue 1 giant but there hasn’t been an official confirmation just yet.

Herrera bid farewell to supporters at Old Trafford during United’s embarrassing 2-0 loss to Cardiff City but there is the nagging feeling he’s jumping ship.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side only have Europa League football to look forward to next season and the 29 year old may feel he wants to rack up some trophies before retiring.

According to the Mirror, Ander will earn over £300k a week at PSG, revealing just why he potentially decided to switch to the French champions.

If true then it will taint the way fans feel about him as reports had previously claimed the former Atletico Bilbao refused to renew because of how late the Manchester United board approached him to offer a new deal.

Supporters understood the need to make a stand if he felt mistreated but if he did leave simply for the money then they will forget him quickly.
