Andrey Arshavin Arsenal

Wild night on the town for Arshavin

In one of the most bizarre stories in recent history, former Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin has been pictured riding a horse drunk down a street after leaving a strip club.

Arshavin made his name in the United Kingdom playing for Arsenal and he was a pretty decent player.

He scored 23 goals in just over 100 appearances for the club and is well known for his performance against Liverpool in April 2009.

The Russian winger scored all four of his side’s goals at Anfield but drew the game 4-4.

It was an incredible performance and it’s safe to say that memory remains with many Arsenal fans.

Regardless, he left the club permanently back in 2013 to join Zenit Saint Petersburg.

He made 35 appearances there before joining Kuban Krasnodar in 2015.

Most recently he played for Kairat, where he stayed for two years before retiring.

He’s certainly enjoying retirement if reports today are to be believed.

What a guy, what a story

That is because according to reports in Russia, as cited by the Mail, the player has had one wild night recently.

It is claimed that the former Arsenal star stumbled out of a striptease club in the early hours of the morning before finding a man with a horse.

He then proceeded to ride that horse down the middle of a street, which the owner was said to charge £35 for.

However, Arshavin failed to pay!

The police even turned up but he reportedly told them ‘he would resolve any problems.’

Not many of us can relate to that situation, but it makes it no less entertaining to read!

Arsenal strongly tipped to sign Cristian Pavon and Nicolas Pepe in January

Arshavin’s former club are supposedly looking to bring in a forward this January.

Now, Cristian Pavon and Nicolas Pepe are two names that have been tipped for a move.
