Arsenal vs Liverpool & Tottenham

Arsenal have started the season with successive wins against Newcastle and Burnley.

However, the Gunners are set to face more significant tests in the upcoming gameweeks.

Next weekend Arsenal head to Anfield to take on the only other 100% side in the league: Liverpool.

After that the Gunners host Tottenham in the first north London derby of the year.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang: Can Arsenal win the league?

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the Arsenal match-winner on Saturday against Burnley.

After the game, Aubameyang spoke to Canal Plus about Arsenal’s ability to challenge for the title this season:

I think as I said earlier we have made good signings, that will help us.

Last season, we were not far away from qualifying for the Champions’ League.

Whatever happens, that is the most important thing, the most important aim for us. To be back in the Champions’ League.

Aside from that, to fight for the title, we know very well that the big guns are ready but we are also ready and in any case we are going to give our all to match the big guns if possible.

David Luiz: Arsenal need to ‘dream’

Following his transfer from Chelsea, David Luiz made his Arsenal debut last weekend against Burnley.

Some have criticised David Luiz for his failure to mark Ashley Barnes as Burnley found the target.

After the match, however, Luiz revealed his belief that the mentality at the Emirates Stadium needs to improve:

In life you have to believe; if you don’t try things you are never going to know if you can do it or not.

The team is going to dream more, going to prepare better, understand the game. To achieve your dream, you have a lot to do. We can fight for something big. That is always going to be my speech to everyone.

I try to give them what many players did for me. It taught me how to believe in life, how to dream. My philosophy on life is to be positive and to be a dreamer.
