Dele gets his own back

Dele Alli trolled Arsenal fans during Tottenham’s 2-0 win at the Emirates on Wednesday after being hit in the head by a water bottle coming from the crowd.

Tottenham were looking to enact revenge on Arsenal this evening, following their clash a couple of weeks back.

Spurs travelled to the Emirates in hope of a league win over the Gunners in their own back garden then and looked well on their way to doing that.

That was before Arsenal came back and won the game 4-2.

Safe to say, Spurs fans weren’t too happy but Mauricio Pochettino’s side had a chance to get revenge when they drew their rivals in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

Fast forward to Wednesday night and that’s exactly what they did.

Stunning Alli goal seals deal for Spurs

Spurs got the scoring started when Son Heung-min scored the opening goal from a breakaway.

A lovely ball over the top from Alli saw the South Korean through on goal and made no mistake, putting the ball past Petr Cech.

Tottenham extended their lead further when Dele Alli converted a stunning goal.

A brilliant pass over the top from Harry Kane sent Dele through before he dinked the ball over the stranded Cech.

It was a stunning finish and in a game of this magnitude, you can only admire it.

Safe to say, several on social media certainly did.

Dele reacts to water bottle incident

Possibly the biggest talking point after this game will be the incident between Dele Alli and an Arsenal fan.

After the ball went out of play on the far side of the pitch, a water bottle hit Alli on the head.

He quickly turned to the crowd looking for the perpetrator.

While Sokratis pulled him away, he then looked back at the crowd and reminded them of the scoreline with his hands.
