Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Oostende (9-2) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were edged by 255th ranked Basic-Fit Brussels (6-3) 59-58. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Oostende. American power forward Amin Stevens (203-90, college: Florida A&M) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. The former international Aleksander Lichodzijewski (204-84) contributed with 7 points for the winners. The former international swingman Elias Lasisi (192-92) answered with 9 points and 4 assists for Oostende. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Basic-Fit Brussels have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Defending champion Oostende still keeps top position with two games lost. Basic-Fit Brussels are looking forward to face Okapi Aalstar (#9) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Oostende will play against the league’s second-placed Spirou Charleroi (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
Bottom-ranked Okapi Aalstar managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of three consecutive losses. This time they won against seventh-ranked Limburg United 94-90. It was a great evening for American guard Kendall Smith (190-95, college: Oklahoma St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 6 assists. Cade Davis helped adding 21 points. Power forward Jonas Delalieux (202-92) responded with 26 points and 5 rebounds. Limburg United’s coach Greg Gibson tried various players’ combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn’t help. Okapi Aalstar (3-7) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with defeated Limburg United. Limburg United lost fourth consecutive game. Okapi Aalstar will play against higher ranked Basic-Fit Brussels (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Limburg United will play against Kangoeroes (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Mechelen was also quite interesting. Third ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (7-4) played at the court of 6th ranked Kangoeroes (4-7). Belfius Mons-Hainaut managed to secure a 6-point victory 78-72 on Saturday. It was an exceptional evening for Chris Jones who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Carrington Love came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds for Kangoeroes in the defeat. Belfius Mons-Hainaut maintains third place with 7-4 record having just two points less than leader Oostende. Kangoeroes at the other side dropped to the seventh position with seven games lost. Belfius Mons-Hainaut will meet at home Liege Basket (#6) in the next round. Kangoeroes will play against Limburg United and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Antwerp Giants’ coach Roel Moors felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Antwerp Giants have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Despite that victory Antwerp Giants went down to fifth position due to points difference. Liege Basket lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with six games lost. Antwerp Giants’ next round opponent will be bottom-ranked Leuven Bears (#10) on the road which should be theoretically another easy game. Liege Basket will play against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#3) in Jemappes and hope to win that game.

In the last game of round 11 Leuven were beaten by Spirou on the road 77-64.
The most impressive performance of 11th round was 13 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals by Khadeen Carrington of Limburg United.

Antwerp – Liege 109-60

The game between fourth ranked Antwerp Giants (5-4) and 10th ranked Liege Basket (4-6) in Antwerp ended with biggest points difference. Antwerp Giants outscored guests from Liege 109-60. Antwerp Giants shot 61.5 percent from the field. Antwerp Giants outrebounded Liege Basket 43-24 including a 36-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three nailing 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. Antwerp Giants players were unselfish on offense dishing 31 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Liege Basket’s players. The best player for the winners was international forward Yoeri Schoepen (196-94) who scored 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American point guard Paris Lee (183-95, college: Illinois St.) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Four Antwerp Giants players scored in double figures. No shocking result in a game when second ranked Spirou Charleroi (7-3) beat at home bottom-ranked Leuven Bears (2-7) 77-64. Strangely Leuven Bears outrebounded Spirou Charleroi 43-29 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was Lithuanian forward Paulius Sorokas (202-92, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. The former international forward Axel Hervelle (205-83) chipped in 11 points. Spirou Charleroi’s coach Niksa Bavcevic allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Brandan Stith (201-94, college: ODU) produced a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Senegalese Ibrahima Faye (207-97) added 16 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Spirou Charleroi maintains second place with 7-3 record having just three points less than leader Oostende. Leuven Bears lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with seven games lost. Spirou Charleroi’s next round opponent will be league’s leader Oostende on the road and it will be for sure the game of the week.
