Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has seemingly aimed a dig at former boss Jose Mourinho as he praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s pre-season regime.

The Englishman had a high profile role under the Portuguese manager but the Norwegian has certainly favoured him even further.

Solskjaer even opted to select the pacy striker ahead of previous first-choice Romelu Lukaku on a regular basis.

Much of United’s poor end to last season was put down to a lack of fitness with the former striker even admitting it needed some work.

Perhaps Mourinho’s ill fated tenure had a lot to do with his squad’s physical issues and Rashford appears to hint the same.

According to The Telegraph, Marcus said: “The mood is how it should be, everyone is positive. Last season wasn’t good enough. We’re in much better condition than we were this time last year.”

There’s a belief Jose’s former assistant Rui Faria was the main man in charge of fitness and if that was the case then it makes sense why United struggled without him.

Rashford could have meant condition in the sense of mental condition or even the condition of the dressing room but whatever he was referencing, it’s still pretty damning to the former Chelsea man.

Paul ‘the virus’ Pogba is still at Manchester United yet everyone appears to be enjoying themselves in comparison to the Mourinho days when everyone seemed to be at each others throats.
