Here is the last round review presented by ESL.

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Marijampole. First ranked Suduva-Mantinga faced 4th placed Neptunas-Akv.. Host Suduva-Mantinga (17-4) smashed guests from Klaipeda (12-9) 94-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Neptunas-Akv.. Suduva-Mantinga shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 60.9 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Neptunas-Akv.’s players. The best player for the winners was center Antanas Bertasius (205-94) who scored 26 points and 5 rebounds (perfect behind the arc making all five shots). Justinas Jogminas (198-97) chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Suduva-Mantinga’s coach Rytis Vaisvila felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Klaidas Metrikis (202-0) produced 22 points for the guests. Suduva-Mantinga have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-4 record. Neptunas-Akv. at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. Suduva-Mantinga are looking forward to face Ezerunas (#11) in Moletai in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Neptunas-Akv. will play at home against Vytis (#3) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
Bottom-ranked KTU managed to get a third victory, breaking the series of thirteen consecutive losses. This time they edged fourteenth-ranked Jonava 102-99. Matas Ragauskas (189-96) orchestrated the victory by scoring 29 points. Karolis Sapiega contributed with 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. KTU’s coach Arturas Sukovas used entire bench in such tough game. International forward Martynas Linkevicius (197-85, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 25 points and 8 rebounds for Jonava. KTU maintains fifteenth place with 3-18 record. Jonava lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. They share it with Ereliai Mazeikiai. KTU will play against higher ranked Taurages (#12) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jonava will play against Perlas in Vilnius and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Other games of round 23 were very predictable and ended without any surprises. Here they are:
Gargzdu defeated Taurages in Gargzdai 66-59. Telsiai beat Perlas at home 65-58. Ezerunas lost to Silute on the opponent’s court 86-102. Ereliai Mazeikiai was outscored by Delikatesas in a home game 70-92. Zalgiris II recorded a loss to Vytis on the road 87-74.
The best stats of 23th round was 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists by Aurelijus Pukelis of Vytis.


Taurages – Gargzdu 59-66

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 11th ranked Taurages‘ (9-13) home loss to tenth ranked Gargzdu (10-11) 59-66. Vaidotas Peciukas (198-82, college: Hawaii) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points. Laurynas Mikalauskas (205-85, college: Virginia) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Gargzdu players scored in double figures. Gargzdu’s coach Simonas Serapinas allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Center Deividas Keburys (201-90) answered with 7 points and 10 rebounds and forward Paulius Morkeliunas (201-85, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: Octagon Europe) added 10 points and 4 assists in the effort for Taurages. Gargzdu moved-up to eighth place. Taurages at the other side keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. They share it with Ezerunas. Gargzdu will play against Ereliai Mazeikiai (#14) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Taurages will play against KTU in Kaunas and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Telsiai shot 25 for 34 from the free-throw line, while Perlas only scored eight points from the stripe. Perlas was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. International center Tomas Rimsa (208-96) contributed with 9 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Einaras Tubutis (207-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Karolis Giedraitis (194-98) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Perlas. Perlas’ coach Arvydas Gronskis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn’t help. Telsiai moved-up to fifth place. Perlas at the other side keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Telsiai will play against league’s second-placed Palanga on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Perlas will play against Jonava (#13) and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Silute and 12th ranked Ezerunas had identical 9-12 record. This time Silute used a home court advantage and won against the opponent from Moletai 102-86. Silute players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. American guard Byron Sanford (183-93, college: Trevecca Naz.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists.
