Feel good factor returns at Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjær is already exciting Manchester United fans after he made a positive claim in his first interview at the club.

Jose Mourinho was sacked by the club on Tuesday following their 3-1 loss to Liverpool at the weekend.

The fan base had become toxic and change was very much needed, with Man United doing what needed to be done.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær was then named as the next boss.

The former Man United forward was chosen as the man to take over on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.

In the meantime, the club will look for a long-term successor to Jose Mourinho.

“It’s not about the opposition”

Now, Solskjær has been speaking about what he hopes to achieve at the club.

Though, one detail really stood out among fans.

He has claimed that there will not be much focus on the opposition, rather more focus on what Manchester United can do to punish and dominate their opposition.

“It’s not about the opposition,” he claimed, as quoted by the M.E.N.

“It’s about us, it’s about Man United, it’s about our players knowing what they can do.

“We want to see them express themselves, so my main focus will be on us and how we want the team to play and then we will give them one or two details about the opposition.

“We’re in a results business and want to win games, that’s mine, Mick (Phelan)’s and the staff’s job, we just want to see them playing the football they can do.

“Well it’s six months and I’m going to enjoy the ride.

“I’m just going to be myself in the meantime with Mick, Kieran and Michael and the rest of the staff. We’ll just get the players enjoying football and [I] look forward to seeing the supporters again.”

Fans react

Safe to say, Solskjær’s comments have gone down a treat among Man United fans.
