Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer reportedly and understandably wants a quick conclusion to Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s future.

The youngster has emerged as a target of the Norwegian’s as he seeks to add quality to his leaky defence.

After Antonio Valencia‘s departure this summer, Ashley Young is essentially the first-choice right-back, much to the dismay of many United fans.

Wan-Bissaka would add definite quality to Solskjaer’s defence and he would compete well with Diogo Dalot.

Should the Englishman be signed, it could also spell the end for Young’s time at Old Trafford.

According to the Mirror, Ole wants to sign Aaron this summer as he believes the player’s market value will sore by next season in comparison to this season where he’s still relatively affordable.

The latest news is that the Red Devils offered £50m for the defender despite Crystal Palace’s insistence on their £60m price-tag.

It is a considerable fee spent on a young player but should his development continue, Solskjaer would certainly have to spend more next summer.

Either way, Manchester United’s need to sign a right-back is something that’s rather urgent and needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

Wan-Bissaka is definitely the ideal signing but if there’s no budget for him then PSG’s Thomas Meunier would be the cheaper alternative.
