Man City vs Crystal Palace
Manchester City and Crystal Palace are set to face off on Saturday afternoon.
City head into the clash in pretty solid form, emerging victorious from their last five outings across all competitions.
Crystal Palace, on the other hand, are struggling to pick up victories in the English top-flight.
The Eagles have won just one of their last five PL ties, the latest of which saw Palace draw 1-1 with Arsenal.
Despite their slight dip in form, Roy Hodgson’s side are still in contention to finish 6th this season, which is likely to once again be a Europa League spot. But Palace really do need to start picking up more wins.
Guardiola staying at Man City
Pep Guardiola would hold his pre-Crystal Palace press conference on Friday.
During the presser, Guardiola would speak about his future with the Sky Blues.
Pep’s current deal at the Etihad runs until 2021.
But as per the BBC, with City looking likely to miss out on a third successive league title, it has been suggested Guardiola will trigger a break clause in his contract.
However, Guardiola claimed on Friday that unless he is sacked, he is 100 percent staying:
“Unless they sack me, I am staying, 100%.
“It’s not because we have won the last two games. Even if it was going bad, I’m not going anywhere.
“No manager wins all the time. I enjoy working with these players. We’ve lost some games so it is simple, we need to work out what we can do better.” As quoted by BBC Sport.
