Manchester United fans will certainly get excited by Real Madrid star Raphael Varane’s reported doubts over his future.

The Frenchman is widely considered to be amongst the best centre-backs in Europe, helping lead the Spanish side to three consecutive Champions League titles.

The defender has always been expected to remain in Madrid for his whole career having quickly become a starter as a youngster with no real reason to depart.

However, something is clearly bothering Varane given how he’s considering his future at the club despite Zinedine Zidane’s return.

The legend has had plenty of faith in the talented 25 year old yet he’s clearly unhappy over his current situation.

According to 101 Great Goals, L’Equipe report that Raphael is considering his future in Spain as he believes Real’s period of dominance is over and is open to a new challenge though he would cost €100-€140m.

As superb a deal as it would be for Manchester United, it’s quite unlikely the Lille born star would move to Old Trafford if they don’t qualify for Champions League football.

It’s also more likely that Varane isn’t even interested in a move and is simply pushing for a new contract with his current one ending in 2022.
