The Assist Machine Jared Jordan To Move To The Giessen 46ersJan 10, 2019

According to Giessen paper Giessener Anzieger, easyCredit BBL team Giessen 46ers have gotten active on the transfer market reeling in ex allstar Jared Jordan (187-PG-84, college: Marist) who achieved that feat three times in Germany. Jordan is a 34 year old 187cm point guard from Connecticut that still has great zeal for the game of basketball and will be playing his 11th season. He has played in Germany in parts of 7 seasons and this will be his 8th. He played most of his time in Germany with the Telekom Baskets Bonn where he was for three and a half seasons and liked serving up alley-op passes to Tony Gaffney and played also briefly in Bamberg and the last three seasons in Tuebingen. He also has played in the NBA with teams like the Knicks and the Hornets and in the G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. In Europe he also got valuable experience with teams like Lietuvos Rytas Vilnius (Lithuania-LKL), VAP Kolossos Rodou (Greece-A1), Gipuzkoa BC San Sebastian (Spain ACB) and JDA Dijon Bourgogne (France-ProA)

He is a classical point guard known as Mr pass and has a knack for serving up dimes the way Klay Thompson can score the ball with as little dribbles as possibile. His biggest weapon is his pass, but also likes to display the floater. But his biggest weapon is serving up dimes the way Russell Westbrook does triple doubles as it doesn’t matter in what country he has played in, he has been at the top of the assists leaders everywhere. That started when he was with Marist (NCAA) where he led the NCAA from 2005-2007 in assists with 8,5 and 8,7. In the G-League in 2009 he was the second best assist giver with 9,0 with the Vipers. His high rate of dishing out assists continued in Europe as well. With the Telekom Baskets Bonn, he led the BBL in assists twice and did it the last two seasons with Tuebingen with 7,8 and 6,4. But also in the Spanish ACB he led the league ina ssists with 7,0 and in the France Pro A with 8,5. Last season the guard who was drafted by the Los Angeles Clippers in 2007 played with Tuebingen averaging 6.9ppg, 2.4rpg, Assists-1 (6.4apg), FGP: 47.8%, 3PT: 33.6%, FT: 89.5%.
