Wilfried Zaha’s camp have ‘doubts’ that Arsenal can afford him
Fresh update on Wilfried Zaha situation
Wilfried Zaha’s camp reportedly have ‘doubts’ over whether Arsenal can afford to sign him from Crystal Palace, with the Eagles demanding £80million.
It emerged earlier in the summer that Zaha was a prime target for Arsenal.
The Ivorian has even reportedly begged Crystal Palace to leave the club for Arsenal.
However, the big stumbling block is how much Zaha could cost the Gunners.
It’s previously reported that £80million is the fee needed to sign Zaha, standing at double Arsenal’s entire reported budget.
Now, the reality is reportedly hitting Zaha and his team.
Doubts over whether deal can be done with Crystal Palace
According to a new report by Sky Sports, ‘Sources close to Wilfried Zaha say there are doubts over whether Arsenal can afford to sign him’.
Sky’s report goes on to reaffirm previous suggestions that Palace want £80million for their star man.
A report by the Mirror recently suggested that Arsenal could include several players in a deal to bring the fee down, after having a £40million bid rejected by Palace.
However, Sky have claim Palace have ‘no interest’ in a player deal.
Their report explains ‘Sky Sports News understands the Eagles also have no interest in taking players from Arsenal as part of a deal that would see Zaha head to the Emirates’.
With that in mind, Zaha’s dream move to Arsenal is currently a pipe dream.
Arsenal to sign Real Madrid’s Lucas Vazquez & Mariano Diaz, say Mundo Deportivo
One player who could be seen as an alternative for Wilfried Zaha is Lucas Vazquez.
The Spanish winger is not a first-team regular for Real Madrid and would feature in the same role that Zaha could for Arsenal.
Now, it’s been suggested that Arsenal could sign Vazquez.
Not only that, but the Gunners could also sign his Real Madrid teammate Mariano Diaz.
