Dana White reveals the one thing that keeps Conor McGregor from being the perfect fighter (and it’s not submission defense)

Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion, Conor McGregor, is so close to becoming the perfect mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter.

Not only is “Notorious” spectacular inside the cage, winning 18 of his 21 fights by way of knockout (sample), he’s also a surgeon on the microphone, slicing his way through one opponent after another, to hilarious results.

And yes, he makes UFC a gazillion dollars.

But alas, no one is perfect — not even the mighty McGregor — but he comes close enough for promotion president Dana White, who recently revealed the one thing he wishes he could change about the fighting Irishman.

“Is Conor hard to deal with here and there? Yeah, but he’s worth it,” White told Barstool Sports. “If people ask me what’s the biggest problem you have with Conor? It’s not showing up on time. Other than that, Conor’s incredible. Conor’s a fun guy to be around, he’s hilarious, he’s a great fighter, he’s fun to watch. If the guy showed up on time, he’d literally be perfect. He’d be perfect.”

Showing up late to press conferences is kind of his thing.

In terms of his actual performances, McGregor has four professional losses and all four of them have come by way of submission, including last October’s tap to reigning 155-pound kingpin, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Might be time to fire this guy.

We’ll see how perfect McGregor can be in his next fight, which according to White, may be a rematch of his Dustin Poirier affair from late 2014. Unless “The Eagle” has his wings clipped by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) and this contender needs an opponent.
