AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan added firepower to its roster by signing small forward James Nunnally until the end of the 2019-20 season, the club announced Sunday. Nunnally (2.01 meters, 28 years old) arrives from the NBA, where he averaged 2.4 points in 15 games for Houston and Minnesota this season. Nunnally previously played two EuroLeague seasons with Fenerbahce Istanbul and helped it win the title in 2017 and reaching another championship game in 2018. Last season, Nunnally averaged 9.3 points in 29 EuroLeague games and ranked second in the league in three-point shooting (55.4%). He also helped Fenerbahce win back-to-back Turkish League titles.
Nunnally was chosen as the 2015-16 Italian League MVP after averaging 18.4 points on 90.8% free throw shooting, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 40 games with Scandone Avellino. He took Avellino to the Italian Cup final and the Italian League semifinals. Nunnally started his career with Enosi Kalathosfairisis Kavalas of Greece and also played for Bakersfield of the D-League, Phoenix, Atlanta
