PBC on FOX: Keith Thurman vs. Josesito Lopez live results and discussion
Tonight (Saturday, January 26th) from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY is the return of WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman (28-0, 22 KOs), as he comes back from a two-year injury layoff to take on veteran Josesito Lopez (36-7, 19 KOs), who is on a three-fight winning streak. Lopez is best known for his huge upset over Victor Ortiz back in 2012. Thurman is still a heavy favorite, and this is a respectable opponent as his tune-up.
In the co-main event, heavyweights collide as Adam Kownacki (18-0, 14 KOs) takes on former title challenger Gerald Washington (19-2-1, 12 KOs) in what should be a slugfest. My personal favorite bout is Mongolian Olympic silver medalist Tugstsogt Nyambayar (10-0, 9 KOs), more easily referred to as “King Tug,” taking a step up in competition against Claudio Marrero (23-2, 17 KOs) in a WBC title eliminator.
