Crystal Palace’s Mamadou Sakho blow before Man United
Leicester City 1 – Crystal Palace 4
Crystal Palace recorded one of their best results of the season on Saturday winning 4-1 away at Leicester City.
Wilfried Zaha will steal the headlines with a brace against the Foxes.
However James McArthur was instrumental for the Eagles. He set up Michy Batshuayi for the opener, while he also teed up Zaha for a goal.
Luka Milivojevic also found the target from the penalty spot.
Jonny Evans scored a consolation for Leicester.
Mamadou Sakho blow
There was only one piece of bad news for Palace.
In the final stages of the match, Mamadou Sakho was subbed out the game after a bizarre injury.
The French centre-half lost his footing when sliding a pass forward.
Immediately Sakho went down, and the defender appeared to suffer some knee injury.
Stood on the sidelines with a medic, Sakho worryingly seemed unable to put all his weight on his body.
After the game Roy Hodgson said the following about his defender:
He was out for a week with treatment on his knee. We have to assess it on Monday.
Crystal Palace vs Man United
Crystal Palace are back in Premier League action on Wednesday night when Man United visit Selhurst Park.
A win for Palace against Man United could almost cement their survival in the top flight for another season.
Roy Hogdson’s men are 13th in the table on 30 points. Leicester are on 32 points, while Everton are on 33.
Social media reaction
Really hoping @mamadousakho injury isn’t something long term. It didn’t look good and the fact he couldn’t put weight on that leg don’t look promising

Mamadou Sakho hurts himself making a 20-yard pass.
Christian Benteke then hangs a solid 20-second high five that Kouyate ignores.
Did that one minute of television football presentation make anyone else oddly sad…?
