Eder Militao’s agent Giuliano Bertolucci has ruled out a move for his client despite Manchester United’s reported interest.

The Porto star was initially targeted under Jose Mourinho’s reign due to his relatively low release clause.

However, even though the Portuguese manager was sacked it’s believed United are still keen on bringing Militao in.

The defender would be an ideal signing to secure to shore up the Red Devils’ leaky defence with them shipping in over 30 goals in 23 games.

Victor Lindelof has been in outstanding form of late but it’s believed the Old Trafford hierarchy hope to find him an equally solid partner.

According to Manchester Evening News, Eder’s agent Giuliano said: “There is no possibility of the player leaving his current club in the winter market. We’re not ruling out his signing for Real Madrid in the summer.”

Although that news is disappointing it could represent the perfect opportunity for Eric Bailly to finally step up to the plate.

The Ivorian was brought in with the intention of him being the future of Manchester United’s defence alongside Lindelof but the two always seem to miss each other.

Initially the Swede couldn’t find his feet at his new club and once he began to do so Bailly suffered multiple injuries.

Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the former Villareal man has the chance to get his career back on track and convince the board as well as his manager to not invest in anyone else.
