Tottenham vs Crystal Palace

Tottenham’s move into their brand new stadium is almost here.

This week Spurs confirmed that their first game in their new home will be against Crystal Palace.

That Premier League match will be held on April 3.

Tottenham’s first game in their new stadium will be a sellout: the ground holds 62,062 supporters.

However, all Spurs fans who are unable to get hold of a ticket for the Crystal Palace game will likely be hugely frustrated.

That’s because it’s been confirmed by Football London that the Spurs vs Palace game won’t be televised on UK TV.

Why Spurs’ 1st home match in their new stadium isn’t on TV

Neither Sky Sports nor BT Sport bought the rights to broadcast the Tottenham vs Crystal Palace game.

In fairness to the broadcasters, they couldn’t have foreseen that this match would be the first Spurs home game in their new stadium.

For the record, Man City versus Cardiff will be shown on Sky Sports on April 3.

BT Sports don’t have any more Tottenham league games on their programming schedule until the end of the season.

Sky Sports are set to show three Spurs league matches until the end of the season: against Huddersfield, Brighton, and West Ham.

Sky will also show the opening ceremony before Tottenham’s match against Palace, just not the 90 minutes which will duly follow.

That will likely leave many Tottenham fans scrambling online to watch an illegal stream of the game against the Eagles.

For the record, fans around the world will be able to watch the Spurs-Palace game.

In America, for example, the game will be broadcasted on NBC Sports.
